The standard we hold this site to.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. Those guidelines are the widely accepted benchmark for making web content perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust. We treat them as the bar for every page we publish.

What we do to get there.

  • Semantic HTML with clear landmarks for navigation, main content, and footer, so assistive technology can move through the page in a logical order.
  • A visible skip-to-content link and a keyboard focus indicator on every link, button, and form control, so the whole site can be operated without a mouse.
  • Color contrast that meets WCAG AA for body text, and links that stand on more than color alone.
  • Text alternatives on meaningful images, and form fields with real labels rather than placeholder text standing in for them.
  • Headings in a sensible order, one main heading per page, and descriptive links instead of generic wording.

Where we keep working.

Accessibility is ongoing rather than a box we check once. Some third-party content and documents may not yet meet the same standard as our own pages, and we review the site regularly to find and fix issues. If you use an assistive technology and hit a barrier, telling us is the fastest way to get it addressed.

Tell us if something is not working.

If any part of this site is hard to use with your technology, please let us know what you were trying to do and what got in the way. We will work with you to get you the information or service you were after, and we use every report to improve the site.

Email contact@atlasinstinct.com or call (512) 693-7583. We aim to respond within a few business days.
