Augment or automate?
Check the tasks your team actually does. The tool sorts them into work AI does alongside a person, work AI can largely do on its own, and work that stays mostly human today. The tags come from how these tasks are used in Anthropic's Economic Index.
On Claude.ai, assisting a person still edges out doing the task alone, roughly 52 percent to 45 percent. So even for exposed tasks, working with AI is the more common pattern than handing the whole thing over.
Check the tasks your team does
Three groups, one honest caveat.
A task that falls into the "AI can largely do this" group does not mean you should hand it over tomorrow, or that it needs fewer people. It means the usage data shows AI doing a lot of that kind of work, often through connected tools and the API rather than a chat window.
Coverage of a task is not the same as doing the whole job around it. AI still tends to struggle on the most time-consuming and judgment-heavy parts. Use this to spot where AI could help first, then decide with your team what actually makes sense.
Where these tags come from.
Each task is tagged as augmentation-leaning, automation-leaning, or low-exposure based on the task-type patterns reported in the Anthropic Economic Index. Software and writing tasks show the highest use and lean collaborative in chat; admin, support, and outreach tasks lean toward automation, largely through the API; physical and high-stakes tasks stay mostly human. These are directional groupings, not fixed rules for your situation.
